When I became a mom, I thought I knew what to expect. Then came the NICU, the loss of a child, and the weight of grief while still caring for two newborns. I was stretched thin—burned out, broken, and still smiling in public.
I learned the hard way that being “strong” doesn’t mean ignoring your pain. Healing began when I gave myself permission to pause, breathe, and care for me too.
That’s why I created The Rested Mom Project—a safe space where first-time moms can lay down the guilt, process the grief, and rediscover themselves again.
Because motherhood doesn’t have to mean martyrdom. You can mother from a place of fullness, not exhaustion.
